We are glad to announce the latest major update to Transplanner 3D!
This release introduces a new workflow that makes the software much easier and faster to use. Design surgery plans within minutes and communicate pre- and post-op patient conditions with ease.
What’s new:
Before/After switch – Easily separate pre-op settings such as baseline density and trichoscopy from post-op views.
Fast density adjustment – Quickly fine-tune density using the mouse scroll.
Redesigned Trichoscopy tab – Improved layout for faster and clearer analysis.
New Hair Loss tab – A dedicated space to educate about future hair loss.
New 3D Compare tab – Seamlessly compare different views and stages in 3D.

🔷BEFORE/AFTER Switch
A new Before/After mode makes it easy to visually compare the patient’s appearance before and after surgery. Planning is now split into two sections:
BEFORE – define the patient’s current state, including pre-existing density and areas. This could be achieved by trichoscopy or manual settings with scroll
AFTER – plan the surgical outcome on top of the actual baseline.
This replaces the previous manual-density workflow.
Mouse-Scroll Density Control
You can now adjust density using the mouse scroll wheel for faster, more intuitive planning. This works in both BEFORE and AFTER modes and remains fully compatible with the slider.
🔷Model Zoom Enhancements
Use the zoom slider or Ctrl + scroll for smooth, precise zooming while analyzing or planning.
🔷New Trichoscopy Tab Interface
Two Trichoscopy Modes
Choose between:
Show Trichoscopy – View and Add Trichoscopy measurement points and capture photos easily.
Edit Transplant Areas – adjust areas directly on the model.
The Trichoscopy interface has been redesigned for clarity and ease of use. After capturing images, analysis starts automatically.
🔷Simplified Navigation
The Donor and Recipient views have been merged into a single Surgery tab for faster and more intuitive workflow.
🔷 Automatic Graft Recalculation option
With new option the number of grafts to be harvested now follows the grafts-needed setting. Enable it in:
Settings → Donor → Automatic donor grafts calculation
🔷New Hair Loss Tab
We introduced a dedicated Hair Loss section. Use it to educate patients about future hair-loss progression and treatment plans. Combine it with the BEFORE/AFTER switch to show both the surgical outcome and long-term prediction. Additional treatment-result visualizations have also been added.
🔷New Compare 3D Tab
A dedicated Compare 3D tab allows side-by-side visualization of the full 3D scan and the simulated result. Compare pre- and post-transplant scans to discuss outcomes directly with the patient. Use the RAW Scan/Photos switch to toggle between raw images and visualizations. You can choose even models from previous sessions.
🔷Background Removal for Overview Images
A new background-removal option thanks to 3D sensor keeps overview images clear, consistent, and focused.
🔷Faster Hair Simulation
Hair-simulation recalculation has been significantly optimized—visual updates now follow your adjustments almost instantly.
🔷New Anonymisation Options
You can now choose among multiple anonymization modes for improved patient privacy.

🔷New Hairstyle Added
A new Hairstyle 4 offers more natural hair direction and slightly longer length for more realistic visualization.
🔷One-Click Hairline Design
Use the new one-click hairline mode for faster design. Clicking below a hairline point moves the entire hairline at once, highlighted in dark blue for clarity.
🔷New “3D 5 Images” Procedure – High-Quality Global Images
The new 3D 5 Images procedure captures five consistent global photographs automatically - ensuring identical distance, angle, and lighting. This is ideal for monitoring additional aesthetic or facial treatments.

🔷Cole Donor Template Support
If you use the Cole Donor Template, you can now automatically place measurement points automatically and generate reports in the template format.
Enable this option: Settings -> Trichoscopy -> Show CDT feature
